Abstract
This thesis has the objective to analyze engineering and architectural professional careers perception as the importance of Project Management knowledge acquisition, along the lines of that introduced widespread practices by leading global institutions in project management, such as PMI – Project Management Institute. The scientific method used in this work was the application of a questionnaire in order to answer the key question defined by the research problem. The positive results obtained by the questionnaire data analyzes show a strong interest and recognition from part of those professionals on how important it is to study project management disciplines, since graduation courses, in order to better prepare civil construction managers professionals and help them to overcome the 21st century complex challenges in developing Brazilian Civil Construction Industry.
