Abstract
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and innovation have received much attention recently. However, there remains an ongoing debate regarding the relationship between CSR and innovation and whether CSR positively contributes to or hampers innovation performance in businesses. This research seeks this research gap by examining the correlation between CSR and innovation performance, specifically within the context of architectural design firms (ADFs). The survey included 226 practitioners, and data were interpreted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between CSR and innovation performance. While employees' interest and ethical are the most important influential factors, the impact of environment preservation CSR on the CSR-innovation performance relationship was relatively weaker. The findings provide a foundation for promoting CSR implementation in ADFs, emphasizing the importance of considering employee interests and upholding ethical practices to foster innovation performance. This research contributes valuable insights into the CSR-innovation performance relationship within the ADFs' context and offers guidance for firms aiming to integrate CSR initiatives into their operations.
