Abstract

Raised floor panels are a modern architectural solution designed to create a versatile, elevated platform above a building's structural floor. In this study, the use of wooden composite materials for raised floor panels is examined. An experimental analysis is conducted on panels sourced from Turkey, France, Belgium, and Italy, and an integrated BWM-EDAS approach is proposed to identify the panel with the best performance. The decision model evaluates the raised floor panels based on their physical and mechanical properties. The BWM procedure is used to determine the importance of the performance criteria, while the EDAS method is utilized to rank the raised floor panels. A sensitivity analysis is conducted by varying the weights of the performance criteria to support the model's results. Additionally, a comparative analysis is performed by incorporating the TOPSIS method and exploring different distance metrics within the EDAS method. This study will assist manufacturers, engineers, architects, and construction managers in making informed decisions.
